A third game in the Hyper Edohaku app series is now live! Hyper Edohaku Nihonbashi: Edo Work and Life
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture are pleased to announce the release of the third game in the Hyper Edohaku app series, “Nihonbashi: Work and Life” on Monday, April 22, 2024.
The latest installment in this series, “Nihonbashi: Edo Work and Life”, is an introduction to how money was earned and spent during the Edo era. Experience life in Edo-era Tokyo through business, seeing what kinds of work people did, and how they lived.
The Edo-Tokyo Museum has been closed for renovations since April 2022. In the meantime, however, the museum has created the “Hyper Edohaku” series to help users learn about life, culture, and history in Edo-era Tokyo. The first installment, “Edo Ryogoku,” was released in 2022, followed by the second installment, “Meiji Ginza,” in 2023. The series has gained popularity not just in Japan, but also overseas, with over 190,000 downloads worldwide, including the US, UK, and Taiwan.
